How appropriate that I'm posting this on a Sunday... but that's just coincidence.
I'm really not into the mash-ups that I'm hearing on what seems like an increasing basis on
Indie 103.1. I feel like most of them suck the life out of the original songs they use, rather than use the combination to enhance them. The concept is cool, but the execution is, more often than not, lazy and unimaginative.
This tune however, is an exception to that assessment. Actually, it's not really a mash-up I guess. No wonder. The creative mind behind this version of the U2 hit calls himself RX. He cites his influences as x, k, lsd, and weed. A great influence on the kiddies, no doubt. In his words, the "vocalist" on this cover tune is "The War President." Need I say more?
Sunday, Bloody Sunday
