The White Stripes will play a free show in Los Angeles at the site of the now-defunct Tower Records store.
The site will be renamed Icky Thump Records. In a startling coincidence, 'Icky Thump' is also the name of the White Stripes' new album, which they will be promoting at the show next Wednesday evening.
It kicks off at 7pm and capacity will be limited to the first 200 people to buy the record at the store on the preceding Monday.
This follows a free show the band played for a handful of war veterans last Tuesday at the Royal College Hospital in West London.
Jack White 20 war veterans, "Besides letting us in to our home, we want to thank you for the service you've done your country and the rest of the world, especially the United States of America."
