If you know me, you know I’m not a huge hip-hop fan. I just don’t like most of what’s out there in the mainstream, and I don’t take the initiative to dig a little deeper for the stuff I’d enjoy. I can’t help it – I’m a rock&roll girl at heart. That’s just how my daddy raised me. That said, I don’t deny the brilliance of certain artists, such as Outkast, Cody ChesnuTT, Mos Def, and Missy Elliott. Have you seen her new video? FANTASTIC! I rarely stop my work to watch a video all the way through, but Missy’s so beyond all the hip-hop clichés, especially in her videos. And have you seen the woman lately?
